19 books I want to read in 2019

Late December I asked on Twitter for some blogposts ideas, and a girl called Amber suggested I’d do a ’19 books I want to read in 2019′. So here you go! I do have to say, this is quite ambitious for me. Considering I’ve only read 13 books in 2018. But I do have hopes that this year will be a better reading year for me. So here it goes! I found it quite difficult to get to 19 titles to be honest, but I did get there in the end.

1 // Evermore by Sara Holland
2 // The Caged Queen by Kristen Ciccarelli
3 // A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi
4 // Restore me by Tahereh Mafi
5 // Caraval by Stephanie Garber
6 // Arch Enemies by Marissa Meyer
7 // Midnight Beauties by Megan Shepherd
8 // A Girl Called Shameless by Laura Steven
9 // Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi
10 // King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
11 // Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
12 // Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
13 // Sorceress by Claudia Gray
14 // The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
15 // Romanov by Nadine Brandes
16 // Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gil Honeyman
17 // The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce
18 // Call Me by Your Name by André Aciman
19 // An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

I’m not going to go through the whole list, because that would make for a way too long blogpost. But there’s basically a good mixture of books on this list. New releases that will come out through the year that I’m really excited for, as well as some books that I’ve been wanting to read for a while but didn’t come around to yet. The book I want to read the most is Evermore by Sara Holland. The sequel to Everless; which was my favourite read of 2018. I can not wait!

A couple of books that I’ve been wanting to read for ages are Caraval, Six of Crows, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine and An Enchantment of Ravens. I really need to read Six of Crows – and the sequel Crooked Kingdom. These books have been on my TBR the longest and with King of Scars coming out, I just really want to read them beforehand. By the way, how gorgeous is the cover of King of Scars, it is just mesmerizing!

Another category on this list is sequels. I’ve read a couple of first books in a series last year and this year I get to read the sequels. I can not wait to read Children of Virtue and Vengeance, the sequel to Children of Blood and Bone and I also can not wait to read Midnight Beauties, the sequel to Grim Lovelies. And surprisingly Arch Enemies, the sequel to Renegades is on this list as well. I didn’t like Renegades all that much, but I do want to give the sequel a chance. I hope it will be better.

Which books do you want to read this year?

Caraval is still on my TBR list. Ugh. So many books to read, but I am so excited to read them. Call Me By Your Name is so good! It sucked me in. I had such a hard time putting it down. I hope you like it! xx
