Whoops, again a ‘two months in one’ Monthly Playlist. I had a bit of a blogging and insta slump which is probably why I completely forgot about my June playlist. Oh well, I’m back and here is June’s ánd July’s playlist…
Thé song in June for me was – how could it not be – Senorita by Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello. I mean this is just the summer song of 2019, am I right?! I also really love the video clip, so cinematic!
Then we’ve got the Jonas Brothers, they released their new album Happiness Begins, and I’ve been listening to it a lot. It’s such a chilled out album with lots of summer vibes. My favourites on the album are probably Only Human, Trust & Every Single Time.
Very surprisingly, I have a Taylor Swift song on my playlist. I’m not a Swiftie at all, but I do really like her new song You Need To Calm Down. It sounds nice and the lyrics are epic! Also, that bit with Katy Perry in the video… genius! Speaking of Katy Perry, I’m not really a fan of her either but – again – I do like her new song Never Really Over. I especially like the bit in the song that goes real fast!
On to July, which I can be quite short about… July was just the month of Ed Sheeran. He released his new album No.6 Collaborations Project and I’ve been basically only listening to that for the whole month. To be quite honest, I wasn’t really sure about the album at first. The thing is, I’m not a big fan of rap and let’s be real here there are a lot of rappers on this album. But I have to say it has grown on me a lot. My favourites on the album are South of the Border, Antisocial, Put it all on Me, I don’t want your money & BLOW. That last one being the weirdest, but coolest song on the album.
I also want to mention Beyoncé and her song SPIRIT. I’ve been listening to that a lot too. It’s the soundtrack for the new Lion King movie and I can totally see why. It definitely has Lion King vibes.
