My 2019 in music

First off, Happy New Year! I hope 2020 will be a great one for us all. But before we dive into the new year completely, let’s look back at 2019. As I do every single year, I made a playlist with the music I loved in 2019. It’s quite a full one this year!

Going to start off with music that came out at the end of the year. In 2019 the best definitely came last… Coldplay released their new album Everyday Life in November and Harry Styles released his new album Fine Line in December. I can’t choose between the two, since both of them are amazing albums, but they are definitely my two favourite albums of the year. Maybe even the best albums I’ve heard in years… yes, I love them that much. Coldplay’s album is so different, a little odd I’d say, but I love it. It goes in a million different directions and I think that’s great. My favourites on the album are Trouble in Town, Arabesque, Orphans, Daddy and Cry Cry Cry I think. So good! Then Harry’s album, it’s amazing as well! I have listened to it so many times already, I can literally have it on repeat the whole day. My favourites on Fine Line are Adore You, Falling, To Be So Lonely, She and Treat People With Kindness… well basically the whole album!

Another album I really loved in 2019 is one that came out in the beginning of the year; Thank U Next by Ariana Grande. 2018 was Ariana Grande’s year with Sweetener coming out, but she just thought let’s bring out another one. And I love it! I also went to her concert last year, which was really nice.

I think a far as albums go, these were my absolute favourites of the year. There are some more that I liked though, just not as much as these ones. Like for example No.6 Collaborations Project by Ed Sheeran, Giants of all Sizes by Elbow, Lover by Taylor Swift, Romance by Camila Cabello and Happiness Begins by the Jonas Brothers.

Then there were also a bunch of songs I really loved. You can find all of them in my playlist, but a couple I want to mention are Old Town Road by Lil Nas X (thé Summer hit), Bad Guy by Billie Eilish (iconic), Time Machine by Alicia Keys, Arcade by Duncan Laurence (Eurovision winner), and Señorita by Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello (another Summer hit).

Which music did you love in 2019?
